Cronje & Yiannas Actuaries & Consultants Ltd, on behalf of a client, a well-respected Law Firm with a wide range of services, seeks to recruit a high-caliber Associate Lawyer to be based in their offices in Nicosia.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and filing legal and/or other documents, applications, contracts, legal opinions, etc
- Drafting legal documents, including but not limited to resolutions, minutes, Power of Attorneys, contracts, and more
- Drafting legal opinions and legal memos on corporate, commercial, and contract law issues
- Assistance in Real Estate transactions
- Assisting in legal research
- Analysing (European) legislation
- Incorporating companies, including relevant submissions to the RoC (transfer of shares, change of directors, etc)
- Undertaking debt recovery work
- Arranging for certification, execution, and legalisation of documents
- Ensuring maintenance of corporate files and registers
- Preparation and submission of documents to the Cyprus Registrar of Companies
- Ensure compliance with AML legislation and carry out due diligence on clients/performing compliance work
- Executing other project work assigned within the scope of the role
Requirements
- University degree in Law
- Holder of the Cyprus Bar Association license with at least 1 year of post-work experience
- Experience in drafting contracts and corporate documents
- Strong understanding of corporate law and legal procedures
- Highest work standards with a strong service orientation - a "client first" culture
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and respect for confidentiality
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of responsibility and professionalism
- Computer literate
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Greek languages
Remuneration & Benefits
A competitive and attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate based on qualifications and experience, including:
- Annual Gross Salary in the range of €20,000 - €27,000 (payable in 13 salaries)
- Discretionary bonus based on personal and the company’s performance
- Working hours: Monday – Thursday 09:00 – 17:00 with a one-hour break, Friday 09:00 – 13:00
